Meet Our Team

Kristine Kristine

Kristine Godfrey, owner of All Pets Considered, managed a pet supply store in Massachusetts while still in college. After her first week there, she knew that one day she would open her own store. She loved interacting with customers and their pets and enjoyed the minute-to-minute challenges of retail work.

After Kristine graduated from Bentley College in 1987 with a B.A. in Marketing/Management, she moved to Texas to work in sales for Royal Canin, a pet food manufacturer. All the while, and especially as she traveled on business, she fine-tuned plans to start her own small company. Our store name in fact came to her during one of her long trips, as she listened to the NPR show “All Things Considered” on her car radio.

In 1992, with her Dachshund Snickers as mascot, Kristine opened All Pets Considered in Greensboro, NC. Shortly thereafter, Snickers began eating holes in too many bags of dog food and had to begin “working from home.” That was when Ginger the cockatiel came to watch over things.

Kristine and her husband Michael have two wonderful children, Kaitlyn and Spencer, who love animals as much as their mom and have become very helpful in the store. Rounding out the Godfrey family are Lucy the Boxer, and Lola the Boxer.

All Pets Considered, still going strong after more than a decade, has become known for its commitment to quality pet foods and supplies and ever-expanding gift line. The employees at All Pets Considered always pay special attention to customer service and maintain strong links to community animal rescue efforts.
Lucy, Lola & Foster Puppy Lucy and Lola

Lucy and Lola are Kristine's rescued Boxers. Since Kristine owns All Pets Considered, they get lots of perks. What they want, they get. Gripper Balls, Kongs, Tiny Tots. One woof and they're theirs! In return they agree to model for AllPetsConsidered.com. Lucy's ears and tail are uncropped, so as a pup, she had to learn not to whip her humans when she wagged her tail. Hard to do, since Lucy loves people so much and wags her tail all the time. Lucy is also a high jumper. She can spring nearly three feet straight in the air, land with a whomp and fly up again.

We love our Lucy and Lola!

  Meghan

Meghan

Meghan is the Store Manager at All Pets Considered. She has been here since June 2005.

Meghan was born and raised here in Greensboro. She has two dogs, Taz (a Jack Russell mix) and Lyza (a Shepherd mix).

Meghan is passionate about pet rescue and fostering and her favorite thing about working at All Pets Considered is the gratification of knowing she is bettering the lives of animals, whether it is helping find the right food for health issues or being a part of finding pets their new forever homes. (Of course, we all know that playing with all the dogs that come in is really her favorite part!!)

  Rick

Rick is originally from farm country in upstate New York, where he was always surrounded by a wide variety of animals.

When not at the computer at All Pets Considered, and to keep himself around animals, Rick volunteers with the "Emergency Animal Rescue Service" (EARS), a national animal disaster response team, and is a member and was the Founding Director of the "Guilford County Animal Response Team," the local division of the North Carolina State Animal Response Team.

He is also the proud guardian of a wonderful red and white classic tabby named "Tommy." Rick also volunteers at a local historical park as a Blacksmith. He is shown here with his Irish Wolfhound named Mairin. She has since passed away and is missed very much.

  Cindy

Cindy

Cindy is married with one daughter and two Pembroke Welsh Corgi’s named Harley and Samantha. In addition to working at All Pets Considered, she has been a dental assistant since 1976. Cindy says that all her life, she has had "a great love for animals." She has shared that love and commitment with customers and staff at All Pets Considered since 2000 and is glad to be a part of the generous work that they do.

  Natalie Natalie

Natalie is a native North Carolinian. She was a Biology Major at the University of North Carolina in Greensboro. Playing the clarinet and spending time with her pets and friends are among the things she enjoys. Natalie has 2 parakeets (Dumbledore and Harry Potter), a black and silver tabby cat (Izzy), and a Bearded Dragon (Ichabod).

Natalie loves studying big cats and helping out with conservation of those beautiful creatures.

One of the things Natalie likes about working part time at All Pets Considered is being able to help others to better understand their pets and give the loving care that pets need.

  Brian

Brian is a local person through and through. He was born in Greensboro, attended school at UNC-G, and still lives in the area. When he's not working at All Pets Considered, he's at WFMY-TV 2, where he is the Good Morning Show photographer. He is married to a beautiful woman named Kristin, and they have a wonderful daughter. Brian and Kristin also have four other children: Ralph, a Husky Border Collie mix; Sam and Bo, both Bassett Hounds; and Mattie, a cute little mutt who looks like the Gopher in the movie Caddy Shack.

  In Memory of Ginger

All of us at All Pets Considered are very sorry to tell you that our beloved Ginger died on Saturday, November 19th, 2006. He jumped down from his cage into the path of a dog. He died instantly and did not suffer. We are all going to miss him so much. Ginger was 13 years old and had been a large piece of the All Pets Considered pie for more than 12 of those years.

He had an extremely full and happy life and was loved by many. Quite a few people would stop by just to see Ginger. Some said they needed a Ginger fix and visiting with him would brighten up their day. He truly was the Director of Human Relations. He was our greeter, chirping when anyone came through the door. Ginger enjoyed rides on shoulders and his wolf whistles made the day for so many folks. He would crack us up whistling along to certain songs.

Ginger was a very special bird, one in a million. It was an awful accident and no one is to blame. Ginger met his demise because of a bad habit he had of jumping down to the carpet. Sometimes he would chase after a favorite customer, and other times he just wanted to go for a stroll. We never encouraged it and he temped fate many times. If we had kept him locked up, he would have been a very different bird and the things we loved about Ginger would have been missing. We were lucky to have such an incredible bird as part of our All Pets Considered family.

It will not be the same without Ginger, but he left us with so many memories.
