Heart Walk Benefitting American Heart Association
Have you ever considered that your pet is making you healthier? On May 16 we will be a participating sponsor of the Heart Walk here in Greensboro, NC.
Our involvement came last fall upon meeting Cory Phillips with the American Heart Association who recognized the many health benefits of having a pet in your home and came to ask us to participate in bringing awareness to ways the Triad can reduce health risks associated with heart health. We gladly jumped on board – knowing a healthier pet owner means a happier pet!
In January 2015 our own All Pets Considered family was struck more closely with heart disease when an extended family member passed away from a massive heart attack. Our reason “why” became a lot more personal and as did our motivation to help encourage our area to take control of their health.
In honor of the Heart Walk and our involvement with this event we present to you several lists of why people with pets are healthier and live longer:

With all of these reasons to have a pet – check out our page of rescue partners to find a furry friend in need of human companionship!
